“Just Victor” simply came into being.

I see it as an organic growth from the early 80s, when Victor started working as a photographer in Amsterdam. First freelance, with all kinds of jobs to fill the quiet gaps, until opening the photo studio that mainly focused on weddings, events and corporate photo reportages.

We soon understood that there was some extra money to be made with classic cars and the import and sale of these often English beauties became a substantial part of the work and income. When the mobile phone made its entrance, renting a large company building to take photos became pointless and the work was run from home or the car storage. A coincidental offer of freelance courier work completed the picture.

Photography, classic cars and courier service, not a straightforward combination.

And then suddenly it was the end of the 90s, what was that all about? Internet? Let’s see if that’s something for us.
And yes, we claimed our first domain name Classics.nl, initially to show our own gems we had for sale.
Slowly this car-focused website was transformed into a listing website where companies and individuals could advertise their cars, still all in the Dutch language. A few years later this website was expanded with websites focused on other countries such as the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, The US, New Zealand, India and more, as much as possible in the language of these countries.

Further expansions gradually came in the form of a handmade high quality shoe webshop.

In addition to classic cars and handmade shoes, photography was and is a always itching…
This led to the creation of Nikon2win competitions, along with a dedicated listing website for Nikon cameras.

And when there’s a demand for a photographer, the circle is complete.

Just Victor.
